About

I grew up in Gujarat, India, in a family where engineering was part of everyday conversation. Curious about how things work, I studied Electronics and Telecommunication at Government Engineering College. During that time I became interested in building systems that don't just work, but work efficiently.

After graduating, I spent six months at Amar InfoTech in Ahmedabad working on IoT sensor systems using STM32 microcontrollers. It was my first experience building devices that were actually deployed and used, which made the work feel very real and practical.

That experience eventually brought me to the United States for graduate school, and later to working with GPUs. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out why a program is slower than it should be and gradually improving it. At Gridwise, my work focuses on improving GPU performance and getting closer to what the hardware is capable of.

Outside of work, I've always enjoyed playing chess. It's been part of my life for as long as engineering has. In a way, both involve the same mindset — thinking a few steps ahead and looking for the most precise move.
